2023

Autumn Care of Chesapeake Nursing Home Presentation

The Alumni Association responded to Autumn Care Nursing Home’s request for socks needed by those in their care.  A donation of $200.00 was made to purchase socks for both male and female residents.

City of Chesapeake's Parks and Recreation Presentation

The Alumni Association presented a $1000.00 donation to the Chesapeake Parks and Recreation’s Youth Scholarship Program.

April 2023 Donation

The Alumni Association supported the new Chesapeake For Men For Progress Education Program's scholarship program with a $1000.00 donation.

2022

Crestwood Intermediate School Donation

After reaching out to Crestwood Intermediate School to assess the various needs of the students, it was agreed that the high cost of groceries continues to put undue stress on the students and their families. 

Donation to Portlock Primary School I

The Alumni Association continues to support the Portlock Primary School.  

Preserving Our Legacy

The Alumni Association was honored to receive recognition for its support of Chesapeake Public Schools. 

The New Chesapeake Men For Progress Scholarship Program Education Foundation Inc.

The Association continues to lend its support to organizations that are offering tremendous support to our youth throughout the community. 

Donation to Portlock Primary School II

The Alumni Association answered the call from Portlock Primary School assist with helping the teachers with obtaining needed supplies and clothing for the students.  There was an ongoing need to help maintain underclothes at the school for students who have “accidents” during their time at the school. 

Teacher Appreciation Day

The Crestwood High School Alumni Association, Inc. continues to support and honor organizations in the community that are making significant contributions and impacts on our citizens.

2021

Donation to the American Red Cross

The Alumni Association made a $1540.00 donation to the American Red Cross in support of their Coastal Virginia Blood Donor Awareness & Education Series.

Donation to the Burfoot House

The Alumni Association made a $1000.00 donation to Burfoot House whose mission is to transform lives by providing a transitional home and comprehensive program designed for single women 18 and older to achieve self-sufficiency. 

Rena B. Wright Primary School

The Association, at the request of the principle at Rena B. Wright Primary School, donated 10 cases (700 bottles) of drinking water for the kids at the school, as they will began having outside activities during the last week in April, through May and part of June.

Coats, Scarves, Hats/Caps and Gloves

To close out the year, the Association answered the call to assist students at Crestwood Intermediate School.

2020

Covid Response: Computers Donations & Scholarships

Due to the coronavirus, and the havoc it is causing in our communities, we decided to provided
the five (5) laptop computers that we obtained from the Tidewater Community College Computer
Club to students who were in need of a computer in order to assist with completing their school
work assignments from home.

Donate to Buffalow Family and Friends

In continuing our efforts to make a difference in the lives of families within our communities, the
Crestwood High School Alumni Association, Inc. will make a financial contribution to three
organizations in the community.

Donation to Cornland School Foundation, Inc.

The Crestwood High School Alumni Association, Inc. made a $700.00 donation to the Cornland
School Foundation on July 1, 2020.

Donation to Grove Church

Another organization to be recognized, by the Crestwood High School Alumni Association
(CHSAA, Inc.) for its community work during the COVID-19 pandemic, is Grove Church in
Portsmouth, VA.

2019

Laptop Computers Crestwood Middle School

CHSSA partnered with Tidewater Community College Computer Club to purchase, for a small fee, four (4) refurbished laptop computers that were awarded to students at Crestwood Middle School.
