The Alumni Association responded to Autumn Care Nursing Home’s request for socks needed by those in their care. A donation of $200.00 was made to purchase socks for both male and female residents. We would also like

to acknowledge the contribution of an additional $200.00 made to Autumn Care by one of our Lifetime Members, Marvin Vaughan. This cash donation was made to be used to support other personal needs of the residents.

The Alumni Association presented a $1000.00 donation to the Chesapeake Parks and Recreation’s Youth Scholarship Program.  This program offers Chesapeake families financial assistance for their child(ren) to participate in fee-based recreation programs.  Scholarships are available to Chesapeake youth aged 17 and under whose families receive public assistance as defined and certified by the Chesapeake Human Services Department.  The amount donated will assist 20 kids for one year.

Congratulations to all scholarship recipients as you continue to build on a legacy of achievement. Embrace it, build on it, and protect it.  The Creatwood High School Alumni Association, Inc. is proud to support the New Chesapeake Men for Progress in their efforts to identify and support our young men as they move toward another level of their development in becoming outstanding citizens and scholars who will make outstanding contributions to their communities, families and the world. The Alumni Association supported the new Chesapeake For Men For Progress Educational Program's scholarship program with a $1000.00 donation. This program identifies and aligns with our goals of supporting the youth in our community in achieving some of their academic goals while in college or trade school.
